Founded in 2016 by collectors Deborah and Andy Rappaport, Minnesota Street Project turned warehouses in San Francisco's historic Dogpatch district into affordable space for commercial galleries, artists and arts nonprofits. The main building at 1275 Minnesota St. and a second at 1150 25th St. house more than a dozen galleries, from Casemore and Jenkins Johnson to Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc. and the di Rosa SF outpost, plus a central atrium with bleacher seating and the restaurant Besharam. Admission is free (di Rosa SF charges its own fee), and each gallery sets its own hours, so some spaces open by appointment only.
