ArtClosed · Opens 12pmFree16th St Mission (BART), then Muni 22 bus

The CCA Wattis Institute is California College of the Arts' non-collecting contemporary art centre, founded in 1998 and named for philanthropist Phyllis C. Wattis. Since November 2024 it has occupied a pavilion at the heart of CCA's newly unified San Francisco campus on Hooper Street, having left its former Kansas Street galleries when the college consolidated onto one site. Its programme mixes first institutional exhibitions, new commissions and research-driven artist residencies, and admission is always free.
