Isadora Gullov-Singh: Traces We Hold

Last chance12 September 2026 – 31 October 2026·Free

Debut solo show at re.riddle: Isadora Gullov-Singh's acrylic-and-pastel paintings on memory, drawn from childhood in Italy with her father.

As a child in Rome, Isadora Gullov-Singh got to climb Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona on the days it was closed for cleaning. One painting here, When It Was Mine, is built from that memory: the heat of stone baking in the sun and the deep shadows in its carved crevices.

This is her debut solo show at re.riddle, new paintings about her father and the places in Italy they shared. Each starts as layered acrylic washes on raw, unprimed linen. She then rubs pastel into long freehand lines that follow the weave's irregularities, lets the pigment fall away and draws over it again. You step in close and the earlier marks still show through the later ones.

Entry is free. re.riddle is in suite 204 of Minnesota Street Project at 1275 Minnesota St in Dogpatch, open Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm, until 31 October.
