MAAT is the EDP Foundation's museum on the Tagus riverfront in Belém, opened in 2016. It joins Amanda Levete's curving, tile-clad MAAT Gallery, whose roof is a walkable public space, with MAAT Central, the former Tejo Power Station built in 1908. The Gallery hosts major exhibitions of contemporary art, architecture and technology, while the power station keeps its original machinery in the permanent display The Electricity Factory and holds shows drawn from the EDP Foundation Art Collection.
