Opened in October 2023 inside the Centro Cultural de Belém, MAC/CCB succeeded the Museu Coleção Berardo and is Lisbon's largest museum of modern and contemporary art. Its collection displays draw on the Berardo, Ellipse, Teixeira de Freitas and Portuguese State collections, tracing 20th-century art from early modernism to today. Alongside them, a busy programme of temporary exhibitions and an Architecture Centre present contemporary artists and architecture from Portugal and abroad.
