Belvedere 21 is the Belvedere's venue for contemporary art, housed in Karl Schwanzer's modernist pavilion built for Expo 58 in Brussels and re-erected in Vienna in 1962 as the Museum of the 20th Century. Restored by Adolf Krischanitz, it reopened in 2011 (first as the 21er Haus) with changing exhibitions, the Blickle Kino cinema and the estate of sculptor Fritz Wotruba. Its sculpture garden beside the Schweizergarten is free to enter.
