Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa

Founded in 1898 from Duchess Felicita Bevilacqua La Masa's bequest to the City of Venice, the foundation was created to give young artists studios and exhibition space, and still runs one of Europe's oldest artist-residency programmes. Its main exhibition venue is the two-floor Galleria di Piazza San Marco beneath the Procuratie Nuove, with further shows at Palazzetto Tito in Dorsoduro and the Sala del Camino on Giudecca. The programme mixes historical and contemporary exhibitions with the annual Collettiva Giovani Artisti and the atelier artists' end-of-year show.
