National Museum – New Building

Built as the Prague Stock Exchange in 1938 and later extended as the seat of Czechoslovakia's Federal Assembly, this Brutalist landmark on Wenceslas Square housed Radio Free Europe until 2009, when the National Museum took it over. It now hosts the long-term "History of the 20th Century" exhibition, the interactive Children's Museum, and temporary shows such as the annual Czech Press Photo exhibition, staged in its dramatic travertine hall. A 2019 underground tunnel connects it to the National Museum's Historical Building next door.
