Opened in 1998 inside the baroque Kaunický Palace just off Wenceslas Square, the Mucha Museum was the world's first institution dedicated exclusively to Art Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha (1860-1939). It is the only museum in Prague showing exclusively original Mucha works. Since September 2024 the galleries display nearly 100 originals from tennis champion Ivan Lendl's private Mucha collection, curated by Jack Rennert, spanning decorative panel cycles, Parisian theatre posters for Sarah Bernhardt, commercial advertisements, Czech nationalist posters and personal memorabilia.
