Mucha Museum (Savarin Palace)

ArtHistoryOpens 10amFrom Kč 300Můstek

Opened on 14 February 2025 in the lavishly restored 18th-century Savarin Palace on Na Příkopě, this is the Mucha Foundation's own museum dedicated to Art Nouveau master Alfons Mucha (1860-1939) - twice the size of the Foundation's former home in Kaunický palác. Its inaugural exhibition, "Alphonse Mucha: Art Nouveau & Utopia", curated by Tomoko Sato, spans some 90 works from the Mucha Trust Collection - paintings, posters, drawings, photographs and personal effects - including material from The Slav Epic. The exhibition space was created within the palace's restored Baroque halls by architect Eva Jiřičná.
