BPA// Exhibition 2026

Preview: written before the show opened

Every year a jury of Berlin artists picks ten emerging artists for BPA//, and after two years of studio visits their work ends up in this show. This edition's second-year group is Ouassila Arras, Arijit Bhattacharyya, Belia Brückner, Caroline Douville, the duo Robin Kötzle and Anton Böhm, Leon Leube, Jorge Loureiro, Peter Polack, Alina Schmuch and Lauryn Youden.

The mentoring scheme was started in 2016 by the artists Angela Bulloch, Simon Denny and Willem de Rooij. Its regular mentors include Monika Baer, Bouchra Khalili and Olaf Nicolai, plus more than 50 guest mentors a year. KW has hosted the year-end show since 2020, in its front house and studio. KW hasn't published the works yet, so you walk in knowing the names and little else.

The opening on Friday 4 December, 19:00 to 22:00, is free, first come, first served, with an afterparty at Café Bravo in the courtyard. KW is closed on Tuesdays and on 24 to 26 and 31 December and 1 January.
