Berlin's great museum of ancient architecture, built 1910–1930 to house the Pergamon Altar, the Market Gate of Miletus and the Ishtar Gate. The main building on Museum Island has been completely closed since 23 October 2023 for renovation. What you can visit today is Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama at Am Kupfergraben 2, a short walk away, which shows around 80 original sculptures from Pergamon alongside Yadegar Asisi's 360° panorama of the ancient city. The North Wing and central building, including the Pergamon Altar and the Museum für Islamische Kunst, reopen on 4 June 2027. The South Wing, with the Ishtar Gate, stays closed until 2037.
