The Italian Navy's historical naval museum (MUNAV), founded in 1919, fills a 15th-century former Venetian Republic granary on Riva San Biagio with ship models, weapons, war relics and documents tracing Venice's maritime history to the modern Navy. Nearby, the Padiglione delle Navi in the Arsenale's old oar workshops shelters historic vessels from lagoon boats to the hull of the Scalè Reale and the engine of Marconi's yacht Elettra. With an upgraded ticket, visitors can also board the 46-metre Cold War submarine Enrico Dandolo.
