Gardiner Museum

Founded by George and Helen Gardiner and opened in 1984, the Gardiner Museum is Canada's national centre for ceramic art, housed in a limestone-and-glass building by KPMB opposite the Royal Ontario Museum. Its collection of over 5,000 objects spans Ancestral Abiayala pottery (considered the foremost in Canada), European earthenware and porcelain, Chinese and Japanese ceramics, and contemporary Canadian work. Rotating special exhibitions, hands-on clay classes and Clay Restaurant round out a visit.
