Bata Shoe Museum

Founded by Sonja Bata and opened in its Raymond Moriyama-designed building in 1995, the Bata Shoe Museum holds a collection of more than 13,000 shoes and footwear-related artifacts. Its flagship gallery, All About Shoes, traces 4,500 years of footwear history across cultures, while rotating exhibitions explore subjects from cowboy boots to Roman frontier shoes and 20th-century couture design. Admission is free for everyone on Sundays.
