Opened on 4 July 2003 in a Pei Cobb Freed & Partners building of Indiana limestone, the National Constitution Center is the only museum in America devoted to the US Constitution. Its galleries trace the document from revolutionary argument to living law, with rare artefacts, immersive theatre and digital interactives across some 75,000 square feet of exhibition space. The signature moment is Signers' Hall, where visitors move among 42 life-size bronze statues of the delegates of 1787 and can add their own name to the Constitution. The Center also works as a national town hall, hosting debates, scholars and political leaders — including the 2024 presidential debate.
