Museum Brandhorst

Museum Brandhorst opened in 2009 in Munich's Kunstareal arts district to house the collection of Udo and Anette Brandhorst. The Sauerbruch Hutton-designed building is wrapped in 36,000 vertical ceramic louvres in 23 glazes and holds around 100 works by Andy Warhol, the largest Cy Twombly collection outside the United States, and pieces by Joseph Beuys, Damien Hirst, Gerhard Richter, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Pablo Picasso.
