Cenacolo Vinciano (Leonardo's Last Supper)

The former Dominican refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie holds Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, painted c. 1494-1498 for Duke Ludovico Sforza in an experimental dry-plaster technique. Facing it is Donato Montorfano's Crucifixion fresco, to which Leonardo added portraits of the Sforza family. Restored between 1978 and 1999, the mural is kept in a climate-controlled room; visits are booked in advance for groups of up to 40 people for 15 minutes.
