Castello Sforzesco

Built by Francesco Sforza in the 15th century on the ruins of a Visconti stronghold, the Castello Sforzesco is one of Milan's great landmarks. Today it houses eight civic museums on a single ticket, including the Museo Pietà Rondanini with Michelangelo's final sculpture, the Pinacoteca with Mantegna, Bellini and Canaletto, the Museo d'Arte Antica and Armeria, the Galleria Antico Egitto and the Museum of Musical Instruments. Its courtyards are free to enter every day.
