Davids Samling (The David Collection) is an art museum in two listed townhouses on Kronprinsessegade, built on the private collections of lawyer and collector C.L. David and opened in 1948. Its Islamic art collection, spanning Spain to India from the 7th to the 19th century, is the largest of its kind in Scandinavia. It also shows 17th-19th-century European paintings, furniture, porcelain, faience and Danish silver, plus rotating displays of early modern Danish art. Admission is always free.
