Kunsthal Charlottenborg is one of Northern Europe's largest and oldest exhibition spaces for contemporary art, housed in Charlottenborg Palace where Kongens Nytorv meets Nyhavn. Part of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, it has shown art here since 1883 and runs no permanent collection: instead it stages solo shows by Danish and international artists, the annual Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition and the academy's MFA Degree Show, alongside talks, performances and film screenings.
