O Humboldt Forum ocupa o Palácio de Berlim reconstruído na Schlossplatz, inaugurado por etapas entre 2020 e 2022. O 2.º e o 3.º pisos acolhem o Ethnological Museum e o Museum of Asian Art, reunindo cerca de 20 000 peças que vão desde a réplica da Porta de Sanchi e das pinturas murais de Turfan até a uma casa de chá japonesa, expostas com especial atenção à sua proveniência e à história colonial. O 1.º piso apresenta a exposição BERLIN GLOBAL e o espaço de acesso livre Humboldt Lab, enquanto várias mostras gratuitas por todo o edifício traçam 800 anos de história do local, desde as caves palacianas até ao Palace of the Republic.
