The Dom Museum Wien is the museum of the Archdiocese of Vienna, housed in the Zwettlerhof on Stephansplatz beside St. Stephen's Cathedral. Founded in 1933, it shows the cathedral's medieval treasury, closely tied to Duke Rudolf IV, alongside sacred art from the archdiocese's parishes. The Otto Mauer Collection of around 3,000 modern and post-war works adds a 20th-century counterpoint, and themed exhibitions set medieval pieces in dialogue with contemporary art.
