In the Blackhawks section there's a fur coat that belonged to Major Frederic McLaughlin, the franchise's first owner. Nearby are the stick and three pucks from Bill Mosienko's hat trick, still the fastest in NHL history, and the full set of gear Wayne Gretzky wore in his final NHL game.
Chicago, Detroit and the New York Rangers all played their first NHL season in 1926-27, and each team gets its own run of artifacts, from those first seasons to the present day. The Hall says some pieces are on display for the first time. It has done this before for the other three Original Six teams: Montreal in 2009, the Leafs in 2017 and Boston in 2023.
You'll find it in the 'NHL Legends' section of the Hyundai NHL Zone, and it runs until January 2027. The Hall's free tour app has tours built around individual NHL teams, useful if you only came for one of the three.

Look for one stick and three pucks, everything Bill Mosienko used to score the fastest hat trick in NHL history for Chicago.
Stan Mikita's miniature trophies
Three small replicas of the Hart, Art Ross and Lady Byng trophies, all won by Mikita in the single 1967-68 season.
Chuck Rayner's Hart Trophy ashtray
The Rangers goalie's 1949-50 MVP season, commemorated with an ashtray, a piece the Hall itself calls quirky.
Gretzky's last game
The full set of equipment and the bag Wayne Gretzky used in his final NHL game, shown with the Rangers artifacts.
Lidstrom's 2008 Stanley Cup jersey
The Red Wings jersey Nicklas Lidstrom wore as the first European captain to win the Stanley Cup.
