The Toronto Railway Museum tells the story of how the railways turned Toronto from a small town into Canada's economic engine. Run by the charitable Toronto Railway Historical Association and opened in 2010, it occupies Stall 17 of the John Street Roundhouse, Canada's best surviving locomotive roundhouse, and the surrounding Roundhouse Park. Outdoors are locomotives and rolling stock including CN Northern steam engine 6213, the restored turntable, historic Don Station and a miniature railway; indoors a locomotive simulator puts visitors at the controls on 1950s Toronto rail lands.
