Sweden's army museum has occupied Artillerigården in Östermalm since 1879, in late-18th-century buildings that were the artillery's main depot for nearly 300 years. Two permanent floors trace war and peace from the 1500s to the end of conscription, with life-size tableaux, captured banners in the Trophy Chamber and hands-on stations. It also houses the Raoul Wallenberg room, a modern weapons gallery and changing temporary exhibitions. Visitors under 19 get in free.
