ArkDes is Sweden's national centre for architecture and design, founded in 1962 and housed in the former naval drill hall Exercishuset alongside Moderna Museet on Skeppsholmen. Its changing exhibitions range from full-scale installations to immersive, participatory design shows. Beneath the museum lies one of Europe's largest architecture collections, over four million drawings, photographs and models, which curators unpack live for visitors in the Unboxing room. Admission is free.
