Housed in the former Tao Nan School building, the Peranakan Museum holds one of the world's finest collections of Peranakan material culture. Reopened in February 2023 after a four-year renovation, its three floors of galleries — Origins, Home and Style — trace the blended Malay, Chinese, Indian and European roots of Singapore's Peranakan communities through ceramics, textiles, jewellery and furniture. It shares its parent body, the National Heritage Board, with the neighbouring Asian Civilisations Museum.
