Horim Museum Sinsa is the Gangnam branch of the Horim Museum, one of South Korea's leading private museums of traditional art, founded by the Sungbo Cultural Foundation. Housed in the ceramics-inspired Horim Art Center building near Apgujeong, the branch opened in 2009 to bring the museum's collection of roughly 18,000 works — including national treasures, treasures and Seoul cultural properties — closer to the city centre. Unlike the foundation's main Sillim museum, which holds the permanent galleries, the Sinsa branch runs three to four rotating special exhibitions each year across its second-to-fourth-floor galleries.
