Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar

Opened in 2013 in a former warehouse on Rua do Vale bought by Lisbon City Council, the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar was redesigned by Pritzker winner Álvaro Siza around a pared-back central gallery. Run by the city's culture company EGEAC with the Júlio Pomar Foundation, it holds the artist's collection of paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and assemblages. Rather than a fixed display, it presents changing exhibitions that set Pomar's seven decades of work in dialogue with other artists.
