The Jewish Museum occupies four interconnected former synagogues on Jonas Daniël Meijerplein, at the heart of Amsterdam's Jewish Cultural Quarter. Its collection of roughly 11,000 objects traces Dutch Jewish life from the 17th century to the present, from ceremonial silver like the Rintel chanukiah to art, photography and personal Holocaust-era stories. A dedicated children's wing, Jewish Museum junior, lets younger visitors explore Jewish customs and rituals hands-on in a recreated family home.
