Formerly the Bridgestone Museum of Art, the Artizon Museum reopened in 2020 inside the Museum Tower Kyobashi on the site of Bridgestone's former headquarters. Built on the collection of Bridgestone founder Ishibashi Shojiro, its roughly 3,000 works span antique art, French Impressionism (Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cezanne), modern Japanese Western-style painting and contemporary art across three gallery floors. The name blends "art" and "horizon" to reflect its mission of connecting historical and contemporary creativity.
