The Royal Palace is the Swedish King's official residence and one of Europe's largest palaces, a baroque block designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger and built on the ruins of the Tre Kronor castle that burned in 1697. One ticket covers the Royal Apartments (State and Bernadotte Apartments, Hall of State, Apartments of the Orders of Chivalry), the Treasury with the State Regalia, and the Museum Three Crowns. In summer, Gustav III's Museum of Antiquities shows the king's classical sculptures exactly as displayed in 1794.
