Kunsthalle München (formally the Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung) is one of Germany's leading exhibition venues, mounting around three major shows a year that range from antiquity to contemporary art, design and fashion. It has no permanent collection of its own. Opened in 1985 and relocated in 2001 to a 1,200 m² space within the Fünf Höfe complex designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, it draws roughly 350,000 visitors annually.
