Kunstfoyer is the exhibition space of the Versicherungskammer Kulturstiftung, a Munich foundation set up in 2014 to bring art and culture to a wide public. Since 1995 it has built a photography-led programme spanning post-war modernism to contemporary work, often showing artists rarely or never exhibited in Munich before. In May 2025 it moved from its long-time home on Maximilianstraße to a new space at Thierschplatz in the Lehel district, close to the Isar. Admission is free and no advance booking is required.
