Museo Soumaya Plaza Carso

Opened in 2011 and designed by Fernando Romero, the Plaza Carso flagship of Museo Soumaya (Fundación Carlos Slim) is sheathed in 16,000 hexagonal aluminium tiles. Its six galleries and triple-height vestibule draw on a collection of more than 66,000 works spanning 30 centuries, including one of the world's largest holdings of Auguste Rodin, European Old Masters, New Spain painting, Impressionism and modern Mexican art by Rivera and Tamayo. Admission is free.
