Fundación MAPFRE's Sala Recoletos occupies the Palacio de la Duquesa de Medina de las Torres, an 1880s mansion on the Paseo de Recoletos, and has staged the foundation's rotating exhibition programme since 2008. Its roughly 1,000 m² of galleries host large-scale loan shows spanning painting and sculpture from the late 19th and early 20th centuries alongside classic and contemporary photography. Since the closure of the foundation's separate Bárbara de Braganza photography space in 2022, all of its Madrid exhibitions are concentrated here.
