Opened in September 1997, Museum "EKi" KYOTO is an exhibition hall run by JR West Japan Isetan next to the 7th floor of JR Kyoto Isetan in the Kyoto Station Building. It has no permanent collection and programmes back-to-back temporary exhibitions across painting, photography, picture books, crafts, animation and fashion, each with its own ticket. Being inside the station, it is an easy stop before a train or between shopping.
