Founded in 1977, Stills is the longest-running public photography organisation in Scotland, housed on Cockburn Street in Edinburgh's Old Town in a space refurbished by Reiach and Hall in the 1990s. Its free gallery presents contemporary and documentary photography exhibitions, alongside public darkrooms and production facilities, courses, a photographic library and bookshop. It also runs STILLSAUTOMAT, Scotland's only analogue photobooth.
