The Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts) of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin holds European applied arts from the Middle Ages to the present, including Renaissance silver from the Lüneburg city council, Baroque faience, Meissen porcelain, a fashion gallery spanning 150 years and a design collection from Bauhaus classics to today. Its Kulturforum building by Rolf Gutbrod was completed in 1985 and reopened after renovation in November 2014. The medieval collection, centred on the Guelph Treasure, is being reinstalled in a redesigned hall and is currently not on display. A second branch shows Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo interiors at Köpenick Palace in the south-east of the city.
