Cartoonmuseum Basel

ArtOpens 11amFrom CHF 14

The Cartoonmuseum Basel is Switzerland's centre for narrative drawing, with more than 10,000 original drawings by Swiss and international artists. It grew from Dieter Burckhardt's private collection and opened in 1980. Since 1996 it has occupied a restored and extended building on St. Alban-Vorstadt by Herzog & de Meuron. Changing shows usually focus on a single artist or theme, and a library and shop sit alongside.
