El Humboldt Forum ocupa el reconstruido Berlin Palace en la Schlossplatz, inaugurado por fases entre 2020 y 2022. Sus plantas segunda y tercera albergan el Ethnologisches Museum y el Museum für Asiatische Kunst: cerca de 20 000 piezas que abarcan desde la Puerta de Sanchi y las pinturas murales de Turfán hasta una casa de té japonesa, presentadas con especial atención a su procedencia y al pasado colonial. En la primera planta se exhibe la muestra BERLIN GLOBAL y el espacio gratuito Humboldt Lab, mientras que diversas instalaciones de acceso libre repartidas por el edificio recorren los 800 años de historia del lugar, desde las bodegas palaciegas hasta el desaparecido Palast der Republik.
