A compact five-storey museum in Shinjuku founded by the Yayoi Kusama Memorial Art Foundation and opened in October 2017, dedicated entirely to the avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama. Rather than a fixed permanent collection, the museum mounts one themed exhibition roughly twice a year drawn from Kusama's own body of work, spanning early drawings through room-scale mirror installations and inflatable sculptures. Entry is strictly by advance online ticket in timed 90-minute slots, keeping visitor numbers small and unhurried.
