MMCA Deoksugung is a branch of Korea's National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, housed in the west wing of Seokjojeon, a neoclassical stone building completed in 1910 within the grounds of Deoksugung Palace. It has operated as an art museum since 1933 and reopened as a dedicated modern-art branch in 1998, focusing on Korean modern art from around 1900-1960 alongside Asian and international modern art. Visitors must enter through the palace's Daehanmun Gate, and Deoksugung Palace admission is charged separately from the museum.
