Opened in Rome in 2003, Galleria Lorcan O'Neill is the brainchild of Irish gallerist Lorcan O'Neill and shows leading international and Italian contemporary artists alongside emerging talent. Since 2014 it has occupied the converted 17th-century stables of Palazzo Santacroce in the Regola quarter, entered through a courtyard with a fountain of Venus rising from a shell. The multi-level space holds two exhibition rooms, three artist viewing rooms and a sculpture terrace, and has presented Tracey Emin, Anselm Kiefer, Rachel Whiteread, Jeff Wall, Kiki Smith and Richard Long.
