National Gallery Prague – Wallenstein Riding School

ArchitectureArtHistoryOpens 10amFrom Kč 270Malostranská (Metro A)

Built in 1630 by Italian architects Andrea Spezza and Nicolo Sebregondi for the general Albrecht von Wallenstein, this early Baroque riding hall sits in the garden of his palace in Prague's Malá Strana district. After a thorough restoration completed in 2000, the National Gallery Prague turned it into one of the city's most striking exhibition halls, reserved for major temporary shows of Czech and international art rather than a permanent collection. The building opens to the public only while a show is running.
