iFounded in 1885 and housed since 1900 in a Neo-Renaissance building by architect Josef Schulz, the Museum of Decorative Arts (UPM) holds one of Central Europe's richest collections of applied art: glass, ceramics, furniture, metalwork, textiles, fashion and books from the Middle Ages to today. Its permanent exhibition "Art, Life. Art for Life." traces European design and craft across the centuries, alongside a long-running showcase of 20th-century Czech studio glass. The museum also runs the Josef Sudek Gallery, the House at the Black Madonna and Kamenice nad Lipou Chateau as separate venues.

A long-running showcase of Czech studio glass: art-exhibition pieces and large-scale sculptures spanning seven decades of Czech glassmakers' creativity and technical mastery.

The museum's permanent exhibition: a sweeping survey of European applied arts and design from the Middle Ages to the 21st century, from ritual objects to modern fashion.
