The Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris (MAM) is the City of Paris's museum of 20th- and 21st-century art, occupying the east wing of the Art Deco Palais de Tokyo overlooking the Seine. Its collection of some 15,000 works spans Fauvism, Cubism and contemporary art, with pieces by Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Modigliani and Delaunay. Highlights include Raoul Dufy's monumental La Fée Électricité, one of the largest paintings in the world, and Matisse's mural La Danse. Entry to the permanent collection is free, while ambitious temporary exhibitions rotate through the galleries.
