The National September 11 Memorial & Museum stands on the site of the former Twin Towers in Lower Manhattan, commemorating the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Twin reflecting pools set within the towers' footprints are ringed by bronze parapets inscribed with the names of the 2,983 victims. Below ground, the museum displays more than 14,000 artifacts, among them original tower steel, the Survivors' Staircase, and the Last Column, alongside oral histories and archival recordings. A striped glass pavilion designed by Snohetta marks the entrance.
