The Frick Collection occupies the opulent 1914 mansion built for steel magnate Henry Clay Frick on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Its intimate, furnished galleries hold one of America's finest assemblies of European art, spanning the Renaissance to the late 19th century, alongside sculpture, French furniture, porcelain and Limoges enamels. Highlights include three Vermeers, Bellini's St. Francis in the Desert, Holbein's facing portraits of Thomas More and Thomas Cromwell, and Fragonard's Progress of Love. The museum reopened in spring 2025 after a major renovation of its historic home.
